GIL held an executive Technical Committee Meeting attended by senior officials from Government of Balochistan, UNDP and University of Balochistan

GIL held an executive Technical Committee Meeting attended by senior officials from Government of Balochistan, UNDP and University of Balochistan on 24th September 2020 at Syndicate Hall, University of Balochistan (UOB). The meeting was chaired by Vice-Chancellor UOB, Dr Shafiq Ur Rehman. Team Lead GIL, Dr Waheed Noor along with GIL Experts Dr Sanaullah Panezai and Prof. Jahanvash Karim presented the keynote. Representatives from Quetta Water and Supply Authority (QWASA) Mr Imran Hameed Durrani, Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) Mr Agha Imran Shah, Colleges Higher & Technical Education Department (CH&TE) Mr Syed Mehrab Shah and Mr Aamir Naeem, Balochistan Environment Protection Agency (EPA) Engr. G. R. Jamali and Ainuddin Agha, Quetta Development Authority (QDA) Mr Zia Ur Rehman and UNDP Ms Shazia Aman and Mr Habibullah Khan were present. Discussion took place over several service delivery challenges faced by Balochistan and Quetta city in particular. The representatives of Government sectors appreciated the GIL interventions and supported the idea of prototyping, testing and deploying smart solutions. An MoU signing in the presence of VC UOB was carried out between GIL and two Government sectors; QDA and CH&TE for cooperation in improving service delivery and governance for these departments.
